I was flown to the Dominican Republic to do a scene with Betsy Brandt, and that's about as awesome as things get.

July 19, 2022
It's been a while since I've done a play, and I'm really looking forward to playing Gilda in Gino Diiorio's two-hander, SCAB, running at Premiere Stages at Kean University.
Directed by John Wooten, SCAB tells the story of Gilda, a middle-aged American woman tasked with training Eduardo, a young Mexican man, how to be a shop foreman when her factory plant moves to Mexico.

Five Days at Memorial wraps in New Orleans
November 20, 2021
Five Days at Memorial has wrapped.
What a treat it was to shoot in New Orleans (and Slidell, and Gretna, and Chalmette.)
Growing up, I visited family in New Orleans often- but those trips stopped after my aunt lost her home in Hurricane Katrina, and she moved to Houston.
More recently, my grandpa George lost his home in Lafitte, LA after 2021's Hurricane Ida.
In both instances, I saw that Louisianans are resilient like nobody else. The support they show for one another, for neighbors in need, is unmatched.
To play a strong, fiercely determined real Louisianan like Sandra LeBlanc was an honor.

That's a Wrap on Toronto!
September 12, 2021
My time shooting in Toronto has come to an end for now, and we will soon be headed to New Orleans to continue shooting Five Days at Memorial.
Recently, Hurricane Ida took its toll on Louisiana; in lieu of traditional wrap gifts, our production made a contribution to aid organizations in the greater New Orleans area.

Monica joins cast of Apple TV's FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL
August 3. 2021
I'm joining John Ridley and Carson Cuse's limited series, FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL, and I am pinching myself. Based on Sheri Fink's book of the same name, the series chronicles the dire events at New Orleans' Memorial Hospital, in the days after Hurricane Katrina. Having family who rode out the storm and lost their home in Katrina, this project means the world to me.

Leading Role in HOLY NIGHT film
January 24, 2018
I just worked with director Casey Stein on HOLY NIGHT, a powerful film about opioid addiction in America. I play Nadine, a determined woman doing what's best for her family, in spite of debilitating pain and a life ruined by addiction to pain medication.

Rita Returns for a Sixth Episode of THE PATH
November 17, 2017
It was such fun to return as Rita Laslen for the final episode of Season Two of THE PATH. We froze our tushies off, but the night ended with hugs all around. (And don't let Aaron Paul get hold of your phone!)

The 5th Time's a charm. Back to THE PATH!
September 26, 2017
THE PATH keeps getting better and better. "Rita Laslen" was back for a 5th episode, this time opposite Freida Pinto. The whole cast and crew always makes me feel welcome.

Hanging with Super Heroes
November 2016
Shhhh. I got to work on a super-secret (that is, if you live under a rock) Netflix show about some beloved and well-known super heroes. S.J. Clarkson directed the episode, and she was great- strong and creative, kind and funny...just a wonderful model for women in the film and TV industry. My scene involved some intense work from the steadicam operator- he was the hero of the day, for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing the episode (Ep 101) sometime in 2017!

Recurring Role on Hulu's THE PATH
October 2016
It was a great surprise to book a recurring role on Season 2 of THE PATH. Aaron Paul is as wonderful and kind as you think he is, and made everyone, including newcomers like me, feel welcome. Season 2 of THE PATH premieres January 25th on Hulu. Look for me in episodes 212 and 213. And fingers crossed for Season 3!
